Short Pitch: The planetary world-building of the HEAVENBREAKER meets The high-stakes political romance of TRIAL OF THE SUN QUEEN.

Embracing a Celestial Prophecy, Alira must destroy the planet’s cruel Emperor before the war between Tourran houses decimates the planet and, with it, the man she crossed the galaxy to love for eternity and the best friend she swore to protect.

Query Letter:

A weapon was stolen from the Tourran Emperor twenty-one years ago, but a twist of fate returned her with a vengeance.

Alira should've never made it on the Emperor's starship with the thirty other Prospects from New Earth. The moment she arrived on Tourran, her priority was protecting her best friend during the Empress trials—a dangerous competition where the winner would marry the Emperor's first son, and those who survived would be married to eligible Tourrans to repopulate their endangered civilization. Her plans were complicated when she fell in love with the Emperor's spare heir, Ayvan,—the man determined to make Alira reject him at any cost to protect her.

After Ayvan saved her from a deadly attack, Alira showed a connection to the planet's life source, giving her unexplainable abilities only a member of the Tourran species could possess. To test her abilities, she'd have to beat the Oracle in an impossible mental game—wield the power of all four Tourran houses to escape or die. But with her power came an ancient prophecy the Emperor was vying to control to secure his reign.

The Emperor's manipulation took a deadly turn when Alira refused to use her abilities to murder for his dark agenda. To turn her into the weapon he needed, he took away the only family she had left, forcing her to choose between forsaking the man she loves or avenging the best friend she lost.
